Calls to Action

Calls to Action

At the People’s Climate March we’ll make these calls to action on national, state and local climate issues.

If you were not able to take these actions at the event, please do so now.

LOCAL: Community Choice Energy

Call San Diego Mayor Faulconer  at (619) 236-6330 – ask him to move forward with a Community Choice Energy program that achieves the 100% clean energy goal in the City’s Climate Action Plan and implements local renewable energy projects using union labor.

Community Choice is a program that allows cities and counties in California to make their own decisions about sourcing electricity, e.g.,  increasing the percentage of clean energy and implementing local renewable projects.

STATE: Restructure SANDAG

Call California State Senator Toni Atkins at (619) 645-3133 or tweet @SenToniAtkins – ask her to cosponsor and support AB 805, which is needed for us to reduce carbon pollution from transportation in our region, bring accountability to SANDAG, and achieve better transportation options and cleaner air for all of our communities.

NATIONAL: Resist!

Call Senator Dianne Feinstein at (202) 224-3841 / (619) 231-9712 – ask her to support full funding for the Environmental Protection Agency.

Climate Change is real and is already negatively affecting people and threatens the lives of millions for generations to come. This will help not only our environment, quality of life but also our national economy
